FERMENTATION

The chilled wort is sent to the fermentor where brewers  yeast is added.  Within a couple of hours the yeast will start to feed on the sugars in the wort and convert them into carbon dioxide (CO2) and alcohol. This process is called fermentation. The yeast will continue to eat the sugars until they are used up then the yeast will go into hibernation and the fermentation process will stop. We have beer!
